The LASAI 20 CR's 29 kWh pack behind a 6 kW motor is a remarkable ratio — nearly five kilowatt-hours for every kilowatt of draw. In practice that means all-day endurance at cruising speed without range anxiety, which is exactly the right trade for the inland-waterway market LASAI targets. Add the solar panels the builder fits as part of its propulsion concept and a boat used gently on a sunny lake may top up faster than it depletes. The 9-knot ceiling is not a limitation on rivers and canals where speed limits are lower anyway.
Who it suits, and who it does not
Eight seats on six metres makes this a sociable boat for families, small hotels and lake-side rental operations. It is not a coastal boat: the beam, the weight and the 9-knot maximum all point inland, and buyers on open water should look at heavier, faster hulls.
The pricing caveat
LASAI publishes no price at all, which makes comparison difficult and means every quotation will be a negotiation. A dealer figure of roughly €99,830 circulates, but it conflicts with the builder's own specifications and we have deliberately not recorded it — do not treat it as a guide. Insist on a written specification and price from LASAI directly, including how much of the solar capability is standard rather than optional.
