The Como 28 Cabin's specification is unusually serious for a boat of this size. A 79 kWh pack is roughly what a mid-size electric car carries, and 140 kW is well beyond what most 8–9 metre electric craft offer — this is a drivetrain built for real performance, not for silent drifting. On a 1,950 kg hull that ratio is high, which points to a boat capable of transfer speeds rather than harbour speeds.

Who it is for

The Cabin variant, with its enclosed superstructure, is aimed at shuttle and hotel-transfer work and at owners on lakes with weather — Como, Garda, the Alpine and Central European lakes where the yard is based. Buyers wanting an open sunbathing boat should look at the 28 Open sibling instead; the cabin costs you deck space.

What to check

Como publishes no price in our records, and speed and range appear only in metric units, so ask for both figures with the test conditions attached — a range quoted at cruising speed and one quoted at maximum differ by a large multiple on an 8.7-metre planing-capable hull. Also ask for the charging specification: a 79 kWh pack is only practical if the berth supports a meaningful charge rate. Como's "born electric" positioning is a real point in its favour against mixed builders.
